Go to run and type "msconfig"
Go to BOOT tab
Timeout: 3 seconds (A 'waiting period' to choose what OS you are going to use.)
Click ADVANCED OPTIONS
Number of processors: Select MAXIMUM PROCESSORS(depends on your cpu)
Check MAXIMUM MEMORY then click OK
Go to STARTUP tab (Uncheck applications that you dont need to load at startup like winamp, nero, etc)
Click OK then RESTART
